We thank you for this opportunity to share with you our ministry at Meadowbrook Christian Church located in Rochester Hills, MI, and are eager to have you join us.
Zack Schewe, Minister
One of the greatest values from the Gospel that we seek to embody is that of hospitality and relationship. We believe that God has created us for relationships with one another. It is when we do life together that we find ourselves spurring one another on, being filled with Christ, and wading through these troubled waters of life. We believe that the kingdom of God is here now and that by our faithfulness God will change this world today.
I pray that we might find a way to serve you as we seek to minister Christ together.
My wife, Sarah, and I could not come from any more different backgrounds. She is from Jinja, Uganda, and I am from Berkley, MI. We met at Rochester College and married in 2010. We have one incredible daughter, Mirembe, and lots of family in the area.
I have been serving in the church since 2009, and Sarah works as a nurse at Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit.

And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. (Colossians 3:14-17)
The Bible is so clear on our call to live out a lifestyle of worship for the Lord that extends beyond the doors of our church and to our families, communities, and the world. This is our mission: to love others as Christ loves them, to worship God boldly in all we do, and make disciples everywhere we go.
My wife, Sophie and I are from opposite sides of the country. She grew up in Connecticut, and I grew up in rural Oregon. We met in Washington state and have been married since March 2012. We have one daughter, Grace, and enjoy spending time together as a family. We love fishing, camping, hiking paths, board games, volunteering at youth camps, and much more!
I have a background leading youth and worship ministries, directing and volunteering at youth camps and adult retreats, and serving with homeless and recovery ministries.
I believe God uses broken people to reach broken people. We all have a story to tell, and it’s His story. Sophie is a loving wife, mother, and nurse. She has spent time volunteering with children’s ministries, non-profit group homes, and youth retreats.
